Date: May 30, 2026
Location: University of Georgia, Conference Hall #519, 77a Kostava St., Tbilisi
Format: On-site / Hybrid

Conference Description and Objectives

The Quantum Technologies Conference is an academic scientific forum, which is being held for the first time in Georgia and is dedicated to modern research in the field of quantum technologies. The event brings together researchers, university professors, doctoral students and students working in various areas of quantum physics and quantum technologies.

The conference will present the latest scientific achievements in such areas as quantum computing, quantum algorithms, quantum communication, quantum sensors, quantum materials and other related areas. Special attention will be paid to the presentation of current research, scientific discussion and generation of new ideas.

This conference is unique in the Georgian academic space, as it is the first systematic platform that is fully dedicated to quantum technologies. One of the main goals of the university is to connect scientists working in the field of quantum technologies inside and outside Georgia, to create a sustainable academic network and to promote the development of joint research projects through this event.

The conference aims not only to be a one-time scientific event, but also to establish a tradition - by holding it regularly in the future, to strengthen the field of quantum technologies in Georgia and promote its integration into the international scientific space. Also, an important priority is the active involvement of young researchers and students.

The conference is being held at the initiative of the Center for Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence operating at the University of Georgia. The mentioned center is already implementing research, educational and international cooperation projects in the field of quantum technologies and artificial intelligence. The conference is part of the center's strategic vision, which aims to institutionally strengthen these fields in Georgia, form a modern research ecosystem and position the country in the global scientific space.
