🎯 The Quantum Technologies and Artificial Intelligence Center at the University of Georgia, in partnership with the Quantum Computing Association, hosted a Quantum Technologies Week for high school students. Throughout the week, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum algorithms — areas that are shaping the technologies of the future.

During the lectures, UG professors Kakhaber Tavzarashvili, Irakli Noselidze, and Nana Dikhaminjia, along with Mikheil Tsiklauri, Tech Lead at Apple, spoke about quantum computing, quantum communication, quantum algorithms, and the opportunities that make this field increasingly important for the future of science and technology. The practical part of the program was led by Giorgi Tsiklauri, a student at UC Davis, and Aleksandre Tsiklauri, a student at Mountain View High School, who conducted IBM Qiskit workshops for the participants. High school students had the opportunity to create and test simple quantum algorithms themselves, learn the fundamentals of quantum programming, and see how theoretical concepts are translated into a real programming environment.
