Buckswood School Senior Students Visited the University of Georgia’s School of Science and Technology

As part of its science popularization project, the Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence Center of the University of Georgia’s School of Science and Technology hosted senior students from Buckswood School.

During the visit, Professor Irakli Noselidze delivered a lecture on quantum teleportation. Throughout the session, students were introduced to the fundamental principles of quantum physics, as well as the major challenges currently facing quantum computing and modern technologies.

Participants also received information about the Center’s free courses in quantum computing. The course will be led by Giorgi Tsiklauri, a Computer Science and Engineering student at UC Davis and an intern in the Quantum Nanophotonics Research Group.

As part of the visit, researchers from the Center for Synthetic Biology, Anastasia Guraspashvili and Nini Kachlishvili, presented the ongoing research activities of the Center to the students.

At the end of the day, the visitors also toured the engineering research laboratories of the School of Science and Technology.
