STEAM Camp

From July 27 to August 15, 🚀 STEAM Camp was held in Kachreti, bringing together nearly 300 young people from different regions of Georgia. Participation in the camp gave students an opportunity not only to learn about science and technology in theory, but also to take an active part in a variety of activities through experiments, practical assignments, and team projects, putting their newly acquired knowledge into practice. The project was funded by the Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), while the camp was organized by the Rethink Innovation Center. 

As part of GITA’s STEAM Camp, Kakhaber Tavzarashvili met with the participants and delivered a session on the topic: “The Physics of Smart Devices — From Measurements to Artificial Intelligence”. The main idea of the session was to show that modern “smart” devices are based on very specific laws of physics and measurement methods. Students learned how modern devices measure different physical quantities, how these measurements are transformed into data, and how the resulting information is used for analysis, prediction, and artificial intelligence systems. The discussion also touched on important scientific discoveries related to precise measurements, as well as the special properties of time and space that are already being applied in modern technologies and devices.

The topic generated great interest among the students, and the session continued with active questions and an engaging discussion.
