The University of Georgia Launches Quantum Technologies Week for High School Students

The University of Georgia will host Quantum Technologies Week on July 13–17 for students in grades 9–12. The program will introduce participants to the fundamentals of quantum computing, quantum communication, quantum algorithms, and quantum programming.

During the week, students will attend lectures and take part in practical IBM Qiskit workshops, where they will create and test simple quantum algorithms. Only 20 selected high school students will participate in the program.

Quantum Technologies Week is organized by the Quantum Technologies and Artificial Intelligence Center of the University of Georgia, in partnership with the Quantum Computing Association.

Participation is free of charge. Lunch will be provided for participants.
